Background

Nacklebur Garfoodle is a gnome wizard that was (and possibly still is) the apprentice of the wizard and politician Nebuchadnezzer. His fun loving demeanor often makes him more of an entertainment and less of a warrior. Wistfully expending spells to add humor to situations, he often runs a bit short when he needs something. Still, his resourcefulness and way of thinking outside the box often comes in handy.

Story

Role in Party

Nacklebur supports the battle and any tasks the party may be performing with whatever magics he can supply. Primarily however, he prefers to use illusion to misdirect the enemies he is fighting. If at all possible, he'd rather not have to kill his enemies, with a few exceptions. Naturally he keeps his racial distaste for giants and everyone's distaste for the undead.

As far as support is concerned, Nacklebur will rarely ready 'buffing' or travel magic. He holds a particular distaste for cliche, and since every wizard flaunts their ability with teleporting and invisibility, he refuses.

Finally, Nacklebur's goal is to be a specialist in counterspelling. If he can, he will primarily use his magic to prevent other spellcasters from using theirs. He has yet to realize this goal however.

Psychology

Like many wizards, Nacklebur thinks in a way that is a little too cluttered with arcane mumbo jumbo to have time for worries. Besides, if you're going to mess with powerful magics, you can't be afraid that they'll blow up in you're face, because they probably will and few people have died so far. As such, everything is about having fun. Even blasting undead is more of a game than anything else. Non-violent mischeif is more fun however, especially when the guards chase the fake Nacklebur instead of the real one.

Relationships

• Everything is about fun for Nacklebur, and he sees the people he knows more as people he can have fun with rather than serious war buddies.:

• Mydo Bandydo - Have you seen some of the crazy things this guy does? I may play around with fake explosions, but this guy plays around with the real stuff. He seems easily fooled though, so maybe I'll swap his pants with illusory ones one day. That should get a laugh or two.

• Gnaat Uluchu - She seems like fun, but she gets all stuffy sometimes. I heard she drew on people while they were sleeping one time though. Maybe I can get her to do that with me some time.

• Searil Gellantara - The poor lass, she always got so angry. If only I could have made her laugh a bit more before the end.

• Raiden Nataku - This guy is as stuff as they get, but at least he lightens up with a few good jokes. I don't think he'll ever join me for a night of pranking though.

• Aeleria Ravenclaw - Do ye think if I replaced her bird with a fake one for an hour or so she would notice? I don't think I could keep up the act, and I don't speak bird either. Oh bother.

• Raevyn Darkblood - What a fun one she is. Always sneaking around and getting a good laugh in. I think she goes too far though. I mean, hitting someone with a waterskin when they aren't looking is kinda fun but shooting them with a crossbow? I don't think many people will appreciate the joke.

• Olio Leigh'O - This lass 'll do anything. The funny thing is, she'll convince other people to do it with her. Give her a few years and she'll be a people pide piper.

• Arinae Galanodel - I think I've seen performers use chains like that, or maybe it was cloth streamers, I don't remember anymore. Maybe I'll get Mydo to help replace her chains will streamers later.

• Allerance Boudreaux III - I really should paint a picture of a balloon on his sheild. Maybe it'll make him smile when he sees it.

• Dame Helga - Captain stuffy of the stuff brigade. I don't think regular humor will do it, someone needs to just tickle her. Of course, that is if they can get close to her. Do the gods really like someone all full of gunk like that? Its so unfun.
