Lasaedar is a large and diverse country to the northeast of Juno, historically sparse and peaceful.
Geography
Layout
Lasaedar is very neutral and cut off from most of the wars of the other countries. It was the first of the countries to split off from the Pavel Empire, in a failed attempt to prevent war. For years no one was allowed through the borders, resulting today as Lasaedar having significantly less technology and racial diversity than its neighbouring countries. The portion of the country east of the desert is not easily accessible and therefore of a very different culture from the rest of the country. Western Lasaedar has a culture somewhat of a blend between Juno and eastern Lasaedar.
Landscape
Lasaedar is usually defined by the large desert in its centre, though most of the inhabitants live closer to the borders, in plains and forests. The Dakri Woods make up the southwest corner of the country.
| Eastern Lasaedar should have jungles so that it can have like, tigers and elephants and stuff. |
Climate
Most of Lasaedar is hot and bright, particularly the desert. The Dakri Woods are more rainy, but only marginally.
History
In the Pavel Empire, Lasaedar was a series of connected villages of humans, the only ones brave or stupid enough to live so near the desert. When they saw the war coming, they were quick to split off as an independant country, and no one really cared enough about the land to care. Today it remains one of the lowest populated countries in the area, with adventurers coming out but rarely going in. Most of the people in Lasaedar do not think badly of the other countries, though they see Drakenheim as a country of "barbarians."
Culture
Demographics
The country of Lasaedar has a population of roughly 100,000. The racial breakup is as such: 60% human, 20% half-elf, 10% orc, 5% elf, 5% other.
Lasaedar is very human-dominated. Half-elves are fairly common, but the elves themselves are significantly less so. Even more rarely you might find a group of orcs, half-orcs, or gnomes travelling the desert in search of treasure buried by the sands. The Dakri Woods are home to a number of elves, though their villages are hard to find and they mostly keep to themselves.
