Backstory
Keribrar reached the height of his power more than three centuries ago, and is best known for the defeat of the black dragon, Nmoa, in his last campaign. As an aging elf, the human population has almost forgotten him entirely, though he is still remembered among the longer-lived races. After the defeat of Nmoa, Keribrar married his party mate, Saelie, and built a tower in the largest city in Drakenheim, and retired.
Goals
Keribrar has lived a long time and is happy to step out of the adventuring life to make way for younger people. He spends most of his time at home with Saelie, tutoring his few apprentices and practicing his magic. In the last century, he has secretly picked up wizardry, but tries to keep this a secret, since he was, in his youth, very disdainful of wizards.
Combat
In his youth, Keribrar travelled with one party for most of his time as an adventurer. Since the party included both Saelie and Keribrar, he was able to concentrate his talents into an almost wizard-like specialization with transmutation and enchantments. Keribrar also considers himself rather good with a bow, and to a lesser extent, the rapier, though he was never much of a fighter.
Relationships
Keribrar, from a distance, appears as the sort of person who is haughty and aloof; the stereotypical elf. However, in person he is almost surprisingly loud and friendly. He is strong for an elven mage, and used to enjoy clapping his friends on the back hard enough to make them lose their balance, but his age has unfortunately stolen his health. However, Keribrar is still a very social person, and keeps two or three apprentices around as much as possible. He enjoys teaching and will try to help anyone as best he can, though he usually promises his students nothing, since sorcery is an inborn talent.
Keribrar is on good terms with his immediate and extended family, but wishes they would come visit more often so he could show off his and Saelie's mage tower.
